About Me
My journey into foraging began at home, rooted in childhood memories of helping my mum in the garden. She was passionate about growing her own food, and I absorbed that knowledge naturally, learning to identify edible plants and understand the rhythms of the seasons. Though I didn’t realize it at the time, those early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong connection to the natural world.
I went on to become a secondary school teacher, specialising in Design and Technology—covering product design, textiles, and food science. As part of my role, I was entrusted with the school allotment. It was here that I found myself drawing deeply on the knowledge I’d gained as a child. With limited time to maintain cultivated crops during a busy teaching schedule, I began to appreciate the resilience and abundance of wild plants. They offered not just an educational resource, but also a reconnection to something I had long missed.
Spending my weekdays in a classroom made me crave time outdoors. This led me to pursue foraging more seriously, embarking on a personal learning journey that quickly became an all-consuming passion. I found the practice not only deeply grounding, but also joyfully addictive.
To formalise my knowledge, I completed a Level 3 Bushcraft certification in Foraging and gained valuable hands-on experience working with an established foraging company. These opportunities allowed me to grow both my practical skills and my confidence in sharing this knowledge with others.
Today, I lead my own foraging walks and wild food experiences, blending my background in education with my love of the natural world. My goal is to help others reconnect with the land, develop confidence in identifying edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms, and rediscover the simple joy of being outside.

"Informative and fun experience in the wild 🍄☘️🫐 Interesting to learn what’s edible within our surroundings. The walk at Lee Valley park wasn’t intense too - good as a beginner! Cooked a 3 course meal at the end, I loved the pasta and dessert! Everyone I spoke to within the group was also really sweet too <3"

"Really good day out locally. A very unassuming patch of wood that provided a cornucopia of various edible and medicinal plants and fungi. Our guide, Lucy, was brilliant and cooked us a wonderful lunch using the foods that we found on the way. As well as learning what we were eating, there were also lots of hints and tips on how to find and harvest wild foods ourselves. Highly recommend, especially for anyone who is a foraging novice"
